Second international workshop of the Project BEST was arranged in Gdansk, Poland by Gdansk Water Foundation 11 – 13 June, 2018. The theme of this workshop was phosphorus recovery form wastewater or sludge and utilization of sludge with industry-originated contaminants for energy production. This Gdansk meeting gave the BEST partner organizations an opportunity to continue work started in the Helsinki kick off. On Tuesday 12th of June the workshop was open to all interested in Phosphorus recovery and the industrial waste water treatment and gathered altogether 62 participants.
