Põltsamaa wastewater treatment plant WWTP in Estonia receives wastewaters from large food production industries in the area. Small waste water treatment plant has problems with industrial sewage containing high values of biological oxygen demand and nutrients. In the BEST project, Põltsamaa wastewater treatment plant is investing in mobile sampling and analyzing equipment to better adjust the treatment process to the real composition of the incoming industrial wastewater.
