The Project BEST Riga workshop participants had an opportunity to visit the municipal wastewater treatment plant of City of Ādaži and the nearby potato processing factory Ādažu Čipsi discharging effluents to the waste water treatment plant. Ādažu Čipsi has built a small but modern waste water pre-treatment plant to decrease starch and fat loads to the municipal plant and the cooperation and communication between the treatment plant and the factory seems to run smoothly. We also had an opportunity to taste potato chips fresh from the processing line and they were delicious!
