Second international workshop of the Project BEST in Gdansk, Poland in June 11-13 focused on phosphorus recovery form wastewater or sludge. Gdansk Water Foundation hosted the gathering of BEST partners and interested stakeholders. During the event strategies and technologies for the phosphorus recovery from wastewater were widely covered. The presentations approached the phospohorus recovery from the point of view of economical driving forces, circular economy and global phosphorus balances, but also very innovative new technologies for the phosphorus recovery were introduced.
